The European Commission’s proposal for a green shift

The European Commission recently presented its proposal on how to make the shift to fossil-free energy quickly and systematically. Solar, wind and energy storage are cited as crucial factors.

Among other things, the proposal says: “Energy storage plays a significant role in ensuring flexibility and security of supply in the energy system, by facilitating the integration of renewable generation, supporting the grid, and shifting energy to the time when it is most needed.”
